Rita Wilson was just honored with a star of her own on the world-famous Walk of Fame in Hollywood.

The 62-year old Greek-American actress, singer, and producer is a veteran of movie classics like “Sleepless in Seattle”, and has shown up on top-rated TV shows including “Girls” and “The Good Wife”.

However, people may not be as aware of Wilson’s illustrious career in production. She was responsible for bringing many beloved movies to the big screen, including “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and “Mamma Mia!” Both these movies showcased either the Greek community or the landscapes of Greece, as Wilson remains very connected to her heritage.

Wilson’s husband, Tom Hanks, as well as longtime friend Julia Roberts, showed up to the Walk of Fame ceremony to honor her achievements.

Roberts said, “She is her true self and I could tell lots of stories and many jokes, but all of that cleverness falls away for the chance to just express how utterly I love and admire you.”

Her adoring husband Hanks added, “She has a highlight reel that any of us would envy… her smile and her charm has appeared in magazines and TV shows and commercials; and yet she had more to do and more to learn with her heart and in her head.”

Her multi-talented accomplishments were emphasized by the fact that her album “Halfway to Home”, the fourth album Wilson has produced as a singer-songwriter, was released on the same day she received her star.
