Thousands of Greek-Americans and others are expected to descend onto Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue on Sunday, April 14 to watch the traditional parade and participate in the festivities to mark the 198th anniversary of the Greek revolution against the Ottoman Turks.

The Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York has announced that the 81st annual Greek Parade will start on 64th street and continue on to 79th Street.

They call on all Greek American societies to contribute, and give participants new practical ideas on how to make the parade even more attractive and festive for all.
