The Greek police announced on Thursday morning that the main streets in central Athens will be shut off on Sunday due to a movie being filmed in the Greek capital.
Residents and tourists will not be able to drive or park around Syntagma Square. The streets which will remain closed from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM are Vasileos Georgiou (King George’s) Avenue and Stadiou Street, starting from Amerikis street until it reaches Syntagma Square.
The action movie titled ”Born to Be Murdered” is an Italian-American co-production which takes place completely in Greece.
The story is about an American tourist who is in the middle of a dangerous conspiracy in north-western Greece and in Athens.
The filming in Thessaly’s picturesque Meteora region and Epirus’ Zagori as well as in the cities of Trikala and Kalampaka has been already wrapped. The film’s Athens scenes are all scheduled to be filmed on Sunday.
The director of the film is the well-known Ferdinando Cito Filomarino, and Marco Morabito and Luca Guadagnino are the producers of the film.
