The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Greece held its 5th National Peace Symposium last week in Athens. The theme of the symposium was “Global Conflicts and Our Responsibilities”.
The event was attended by various religious, political, diplomatic, civil and humanitarian dignitaries from Greece including the Deputy Foreign Minister Markos Bolaris.
Bolaris highlighted and commended the peace efforts of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Greece. He said:
“In a world of injustice, turmoil and lack of understanding between people the most integrated solution to the problem is the human being itself because only as human beings can any problems be solved. There is no technology that can replace human interaction and understanding.
Apart from relaying this to you here in the conference, having observed and being a fan of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community’s peace efforts, this is also relayed to the Greek Government. You will find us as warm supporters of all your efforts.”
Imam Atta-Ul Naseer, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community highlighted the global conflicts and the need for mutual respect for a better and peaceful society.
An exhibition of the Holy Qur’an was also organized which included 40 pull-up banners explaining various key teachings of Islam on peace, humanity, and religious harmony.
