Rubicon Anarchist Group Smashes Department Store Windows in Athens (video)

Early Sunday morning, six members of the Rubicon anarchist group smashed the front doors and windows of a department store in Athens with sledgehammers.
The perpetrators, with their faces covered, attacked the well-known store on Piraeus Street a little after 6 a.m. A member of the group recorded the attack on video and posted it on an anarchist webpage.
The anarchist group caused extensive damage to the front of the store. Rubicon calls their actions “intervention acts” which they justify as correcting wrongs.
According to the statement accompanying the video, Rubicon members claim that the reason they “intervened” is because the department store tries to coerce employees to work on Sundays and establish Sunday as a working day.
Police are investigating the attack.
