Tsitsipas Climbs ATP Rankings to Number 12 in the World

Greek tennis sensation Stefanos Tsitsipas has now climbed three places in the official ATP rankings to number 12 in the world.
Following his amazing run at the Australian Open, where he beat boyhood hero Roger Federer to reach the semifinals only to lose to number 2-seeded Rafael Nadal, the 20-year-old Greek is a whisker away from breaking into the top 10.
Novak Djokovic remains number one after his win at the Australia Open, followed by runner-up Rafael Nadal. Twenty-one-year-old Alexander Zverev is currently ranked number 3 in the world.
The Greek Community of Melbourne and Victoria hosted a gala event on Saturday evening, where fans gathered to celebrate Tsitsipas’ success at the Australian Open. All the attendees were able to meet the tennis star in person and give him their congratulations and good wishes.
