Majestic nature scenes have been captured by photographers all over GreeceĀ as successive weather fronts swept during the first week of 2019 brought freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall to every corner of the land.
A new drone video showing the pristine beauty of Saint Nicholas (Agios Nikolaos) Park in the Macedonian city of Naoussa, after consecutive days of snowfall, shows how diverse and beautiful the Greek landscape can be.
With images reminiscent of central or even northern European parks, Saint Nicholas is a place that could be described as heaven on earth.

Located in the foothills of Mount Vermio, which separates western from central Macedonia in northern Greece, Saint Nicholas Park boasts scenic rivers, lakes, and mountain paths, and tall plane trees dot the landscape.
During winter its scenery becomes even more special, offering lucky visitors the chance to enjoy the beauty of Greece in winter, just one-hour drive from Greeceā€™s second largest city, Thessaloniki. The park is also just 20 minutes away from one of the country’s best ski resorts, that of “3-5 Pigadia”.
Saint Nicholas Park lies 2 miles from Naoussaā€™s city center. Featuring hotels, restaurants, cafes, tennis and basketball courts, football fields and an Olympic-size swimming pool, it is a great destination any time of the year.
