An Albanian inmate of Attica’s Korydallos, high-security prison, Arber Bako, was allegedly stabbed to death inside the facility on Monday.
Authorities did not release any further details of the reported stabbing.
The convicted inmate was serving a prison sentence at Korydallos for the attempted murder of lawyer Giorgos Antonopoulos, who was involved in the highly publicized embezzlement cases in connection with Energa and Hellas Power.
Authorities have also linked Bako to other crimes, including several attempted murders and the murder of another lawyer, Michalis Zafeiropoulos.
