The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Tunisian economist Wided Bouchamaoui, has announced that she will nominate the two prime ministers of Greece and FYROM, Alexis Tsipras and Zoran Zaev, to receive the honor in 2019.
Bouchamaoui’s initiative to honor the two prime ministers for signing a landmark agreement between their countries will be presented at a private university in FYROM’s capital of Skopje on Tuesday, the ANA-MPA news service reports.
The initiative is supported by, among others, SYRIZA MEP Stelios Kouloglou and Nano Ruzin, the rector of FON, a private University in Skopje. Both men will attend the nomination announcement.
Commenting on the news, Kouloglou stated that “The proposal for the nomination of Alexis Tsipras for the Nobel Peace Prize is a great honor for Greece.”
