 Prokopios Pavlopoulos, President of Greece

The President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopios Pavlopoulos, has unequivocally condemned  Monday’s terrorist attack on Greece’s SKAI TV station.
In a statement today he also expressed his support for the owners and employees of the television and radio station, as well as the Kathimerini newspaper, which all have their headquarters in the same building.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic, Pavlopoulos telephoned journalist Alexis Papachelas, the current director of Kathimerini, asking him to convey his sincere and undivided support to Giannis and Themis Alafouzos, the owners of the SKAI Media Group.
He also extended his good wishes and support to all of the company’s staff, stating that the attack was a “criminal and provocative undemocratic action”.
A bomb exploded outside the main building of Greece’s SKAI TV station in Athens at 2:30 AM local time on Monday morning, which caused damage to the building’s facade all the way up to the sixth floor, shattering windows and breaking office equipment.
