Two Suspects Arrested in Rhodes Murder

The body of student Eleni Topaloudi was found at a remote location in Rhodes

Two men suspected in the killing of 21-year-old Eleni Topaloudi on the island of Rhodes were brought before the local prosecutor on Tuesday.
The university student’s body was recovered by the coast guard last week in the sea near Lindos.
Police believe the two men, a 21-year old local and a 19-year-old Albanian national, killed the student after she rejected and resisted their sexual advances. The attack allegedly occurred in the residence of the younger suspect.
The defendants are charged with then throwing her body into the sea.
Both men were suspects in the killing from the beginning of the investigation, based on footage obtained from security cameras.
The 19-year-old suspect has reportedly confessed to the crime, while the older suspect has not.
