On Friday, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will fly to Moscow, Russia, on an official visit. While there, he will meet with his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, as well as the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
Greece’s Alternate Foreign Minister, Giorgos Katrougalos, will also make the trip to Russia to participate in the meeting.
The official visit coincides with the 190th anniversary of the two countries establishing diplomatic relations and will offer the two sides the opportunity to repair damaged relations following a political row that took place over the summer that resulted in both countries expelling each others diplomats.
