The Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI) celebrated the best and brightest of the Hellenic-Australian community at its annual Gala Ball, on Friday, November 16 in Sydney.
The HACCI Excellence Awards acknowledge and reward organizations and individuals which have achieved excellence in seven distinct areas of endeavour. This year’s recipients include: Dimitrios Alexopoulos and Cathy Alexopoulos; Dimitris Gogos and the Neos Kosmos Newspaper; Peter Filopoulos; Anastasios Stathopoulos: and George Donikian. The “Chris Saristavros Award for Young Achievement” was won by Kelly Euripidou, and Suzi Dafnis won the award for “Women of Influence”.
HACCI Chair Georgegina Poulos noted in her remarks that she was “extremely proud as a Hellenic Australian, as I am sure you are too, having heard our award winners’ outstanding achievements, and the success and contributions made in their respective fields and to the wider community. We have an extremely talented team at HACCI. Without these incredible people, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve half the success we have in the last 12 months. Their ability to get the job done is truly a credit to their passion and dedication” she added.
