The blackout which called a halt to most activities in Rhodes on Friday morning ended with the Public Power Corporation repairing the damage to the plant, and power has been restored to the island.
The power supply was interrupted in the entire island for several hours, causing a great deal of inconvenience to Rhodes residents.
At the moment, power is back on to the vast majority of customers in Rhodes and very soon the whole island will have electricity again.
According to the first PPC estimates, the damage was caused by a low demand in power consumption.
