Many Athenians decided to enjoy the mid-autumn heat wave of the past few days by taking to the city’s coastline and beaches.
One such beach, Alimos, drew crowds who said that swimming conditions were ideal on the first day of November, with warm air temperatures resulting in mild waters that were pleasant for swimming.
Men, women and children all seemed to enjoy this unseasonable weather, at the same time that the western part of the continent has been experiencing unusually low temperatures, snow, and flooding.
