Future of Hellenism Dominates National Hellenic Society Conference (videos)

Greek entrepreneurs John Calamos and Dean Metropoulos were honored at the National Hellenic Society’s (NHS) Heritage Weekend in Las Vegas, during a conference that brought together hundreds of prominent Greek Americans.

The co-honorees received the George Marcus Excellence Award in recognition of their exemplary leadership and dedication in lifting and passing on Hellenism’s torch to the next generation.

The Award was offered during an activities-packed weekend where participants heard compelling panelists discussing diverse issues affecting Hellenism worldwide, from geopolitics and tourism, to archaeology and Greek dance.

NHS was established to help preserve the Greek heritage through the sponsorship and initiation of programs that support Hellenic culture.

Four prominent Greek-American entrepreneurs, Dean Metropoulos, John Calamos, Dennis Mehiel and Alexander Zagoreos participated at the “Deal-makers” panel.
