Thessaloniki: Migrant Smugglers Caught Using Luxury Cars

According to the Hellenic Police, five members of a criminal group that was acting on smuggling illegal migrants who live in Greece were caught in Thessaloniki’s suburb of Pylea.
The five men, aged 25, 26, 33, 36, and 38 years old were spotted on Egnatia Odos highway, carrying an unusual number of passengers in luxurious and expensive cars.
When they were forced to stop, the illegal migrants tried to escape while the drivers were being arrested.
In total, five cars, 12 mobile phones and €1,650 ($1,915) were confiscated. The arrested criminals will be taken to the local district attorney.
