A high-ranked source from within the Greek Government has denied the claims that Athenian and Macedonian News Agency’s report made regarding an alleged deal between the Greek Authorities and the European Institutions regarding the issue of the upcoming pension cuts from January 1, 2019.
“There is no negotiation, so there is nothing that European officials could confirm or deny,” the governmental source said.
The same source said that there’s been progress in the discussions between the Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos, the Deputy Minister George Chouliarakis and the representatives of the European Institutions regarding the first review of Greece’s finances.
