USA Supports Greece and Its Economy, American Secretary of Commerce Says

Greece’s Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met the American Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, in Thessaloniki on Friday.
”Greece is leaving behind the crisis and is moving ahead in an environment of growth and security for the region,” said the Greek Prime Minister.
Alexis Tsipras highlighted the large participation of US companies in this year’s trade fair in Thessaloniki, saying this reflects the close ties between the two countries and which can be further improved in the future.
Wilbur Ross said that the U.S. is supporting the Thessaloniki International Fair, Greece, and its economy.

He added that the Greek economy is improving and described as being very important the economy’s momentum for the country.
The meeting took place in the office of the Greek Prime Minister in Thessaloniki’s Ministry for Macedonia and Thrace with the participation of Minister Nikos Pappas, the American Ambassador to Greece Jeoffrey Pyatt and other officials.
