Hellenic Police are investigating the death of an Australian woman whose body was found aboard a Mexican billionaire’s luxury yacht in Greece over the weekend.
Sinead McNamara, who was a model and Instagram influencer, was working as a crew member on the Mayan Queen IV when she died on board the ship while it was anchored near Kefalonia island.
McNamara’s body was discovered in the back of the yacht by a crew member on Friday evening and port authorities were alerted.
The six-storey ship, that belongs to Mexican mining magnate Alberto Bailleres, will remain in the Argostoli port of Kefalonia under orders from the Hellenic Coast Guard.
An autopsy has been ordered and police are investigating the causes of death of the 20-year-old Australian woman.
The 20-year-old model had 18,000 followers on Instagram and posted several pictures of her boat trip in the Ionian Sea.
