Greece's Public University Professors To Go On Strike the First Two Days of September Exams

The union of public university professors, POSDEP, is giving what they are calling a warning by going on strike Monday and Tuesday – the first two days of Greece’s September exam period.
They say that the strike is a warning regarding Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos ignoring the union’s repeated demands for salary reviews and increases.
More strikes could take place this semester if their demands are not addressed.
“The minister, unfortunately, has not opened any channels of communication with POSDEP and has not taken any action indicating that he has the intention to examine the issue,” POSDEP chief Stathis Efstathopoulos said.
