AEK Drawn to Play Bayern Munich, Benfica, Ajax in Champions League, Olympiacos to Play Europa League Group Stage

AEK Athens have been drawn to play against Bayern Munich, Benfica and Ajax in Group E in the 2018-2019 Champions League; Olympiacos qualified for the Europa League group stage.
The Greek team returns to the Champions League group stage after 12 years. The draw in Monaco on Thursday evening was not very favorable for AEK, yet they will have a good chance to show their worth against the European giants.
A little after the draw in Monaco, Olympiacos competed against Burnley in England for the second leg of the play offs for the Europa League group stage.
The Greeks had a hard time managing a 1-1 draw against the tough British side. Burnley had a lot of wasted opportunities and near misses before Olympiacos winger Daniel Podence scored a liberating goal in the 83rd minute.
Burnley levelled with Matej Vydra a few minutes later, but Olympiacos were the team to be in Friday’s draw for the group stage after the 3-1 win in Piraeus in the first leg.
