NASA has published a photo taken of the Perseids meteor shower by a Greek photographer near the town of Kalavrita, Peloponnese.
The American space agency posted the image by Andreas Messinis on its official Facebook page.
“A magic night viewing the world above the clouds… at the small refugee “Styga” on top of mount Helmos at 2.340m height,” says NASA.
“Just a few steps from Aristarchos observatory, we had a great time watching the Perseids meteor shower, in one of the darkest places of Europe!” it adds.
