Support for 'Yes' Vote in FYROM Referendum at 41.5 pct – Poll

Support for a “yes” vote in FYROM on the upcoming referendum regarding the name issue is over 40 percent, according to a poll.
The survey showed that 41.5 percent of respondents intend to say “yes” in the referendum that will ask people whether they are in favor of EU and NATO membership by accepting the country’s name deal with Greece.
Those against, amounted to 35.1 percent of the 1,026 people questioned in the last week of July in a survey held by the Macedonian Center of International Cooperation (MCIC).
Most of those polled – 66.4 percent – will come out and cast their votes at the September 30 referendum, while 19.8 percent are set to join the initiatives for boycotting the vote.
The poll shows that only about 20 percent of respondents are completely familiar with the text in the name deal between the two countries.
