Greece's Top Tennis Player Maria Sakkari Loses in WTA Final in San Jose (video)

Greece’s top tennis player Maria Sakkari lost in the WTA final to Mihaela Buzarnescu, despite raising her level after scoring a 3-6 7-5 6-2 triumph for the place in her first career final.
Maria was incapable of creating the second big comeback in a row at the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic in San Jose. MihaelaBuzarnescu beat the Greek tennis star 6-1 6-0 in one hour and 13 minutes, with the Romanian player claiming her maiden ATP title.
Sakkari did not manage to give Greek women’s tennis another WTA tournament title after Lena Daniilidou won in Australia in 2008. She credited her coach Tom Hill for her successes so far.
During the award, the Greek tennis player congratulated her opponent and later praised her for her achievement writing in Twitter, “You really deserve to be here.”
