The Greek capital is covered by smoke on Monday as a big forest fire burns on the mountain slopes of Gerania, near the resort town of Kineta, about 50 km (30 miles) west of Athens.
Acropolis and the parliament are shaded by the smoke which traveled eastwards aided by strong winds.
The smoke adds to the stifling conditions caused by the heatwave that has hit the country since Sunday.
