E-Tickets Introduced for Greek Museums, Archaeological Sites

Greek authorities have introduced a new system for e-ticketing at selected archaeological sites and museums in a pilot scheme that will be eventually extended to all Greek sites.
The pilot scheme at the Acropolis and archaeological sites of the historic center of Athens, Knossos and the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion on Crete plus the archaeological site and museum of Ancient Messini has been completed, the Ministry of Culture announced on Monday.
“By the end of the week, a service for the online purchase of e-tickets will be launched,” the ministry said.
The project is funded by donations from the National Bank of Greece and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
