The Hellenic Heritage Foundation on Thursday, August 2, at the main stage at Nathan Phillips Square will be hosting a public commemoration and a Photo Exhibit of Greeks in Toronto: The Immigrant Experience in the Rotunda in City Hall.
The exhibit chronicles the milestones in the lives of Greek immigrants in Toronto from 1864 to the present.
It will be on for public view in the Rotunda from Monday, July 30th to Sunday, August 5th, 2018.
These events are part of a year-long campaign by the Hellenic Heritage Foundation to bring awareness about this long-forgotten chapter in Toronto’s history.
The purpose of the event is to learn more about what happened a hundred years ago and to view how Greek immigrants have made Toronto their home.
Refreshments will be served after the presentation.
