Qatari Sheikh's Luxury Yacht Impresses as Monarch Visits Greece

The yacht of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani has been impressing locals and tourists alike in Crete.
Sheikh Al Thani, a member of Qatar’s monarchy, is visiting Crete on his luxurious Al Mirqab yacht, one of the 10 largest in the world. The ‘floating palace’ as many call it, was anchored off Sfakia, in Agia Roumeli.
Al Mirqab is 133 meters long and made its maiden voyage  in 2008, when Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani was prime minister of Qatar.
It sails with a speed of 18.7 knots and can catch 20.3 knots. It has 10 suites for the sheikh’s guests and also two VIP suites for himself.
