Katogi Averoff Winery in Metsovo Opens its Doors to Wine Lovers

Katogi Averoff, the renowned Greek winery, is taking part in the 14th Open Doors festival of winemakers in northern Greece.
On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 of May, Katogi Averoff will offer guided tours of the winery’s cellars in Metsovo. Visitors will be able to taste wines accompanied by local cheeses and delicacies, while listening to jazz, blues and swing courtesy of the In The Mood band.
On Sunday afternoon, Katogi Averoff wineries will welcome the mountain runners of this year’s Ursa Trail, ahead of the race that will take place on Sunday, June 3 in Metsovo.
Open Doors will truly be open as admission to wine lovers is free.

Katogi Averoff has actively supported the UrsaTrail mountain race for six consecutive years, providing its facilities for runner and taking care of the athletes’ food.
Specifically, on the afternoon of Saturday, June 2, the athletes will be presented at the winery’s courtyard, followed by a Pasta Party.
At the same time, runners and escorts will have the opportunity to tour the cellars of the winery and get to know the peculiarities of the Metsovo vineyard, the most mountainous in Greece.
