Kelly Clarkson Will Perform at ‘Taste for a Cure’

Kelly Clarkson The Voice

Kelly Clarkson, current judge on hit show “The Voice”, will be performing at the charity event “Taste for a Cure”.

The 23rd annual “Taste for a Cure” will be hosted by renowned chef Gordon Ramsay at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on April 27. The UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation (JCCF) established the event as a way to raise money for high priority cancer research.

So far, the charity’s mission seems to be a success. Chairman Randy Katz said that the money raised at the JCCF’s events have helped secure nine FDA approvals in just the past four years.

In addition to Kelly Clarkson’s performance, the evening will have Italian-themed wine tastings, delicious regional cuisine, and a live auction.

It might surprise most of Clarkson’s fans to discover that the three-time Grammy nominee is actually half-Greek. However, the Texas-born singer is very vocal about her Greek heritage on her mother’s side, and insists she can speak a fair amount of Greek herself.

The former “American Idol” winner is one of the most successful contestants to ever emerge from that show, and has also won over plenty of US fans of “The Voice” with her sweet, supportive nature as a judge on the show.
