Greek Museums and Archaeological Sites Shut on Sunday

Special opening hours will apply to museums and archaeological sites throughout Greece during the Easter holiday, according to a Culture Ministry announcement.
According to the announcement, opening hours on Good Friday and the weekend leading up to Easter Sunday will be as follows:
Good Friday from noon to 5 p.m.
Holy Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Easter: Closed
However, archaeological site guards have declared a nationwide four-hour strike on Holy Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
On Easter Monday all sites and museums will revert to their ordinary opening hours, including the extended summer opening hours for selected sites and museums after April 1.
The public can be informed about site opening hours at the ministry’s website (https://www.culture.gr/).
Additionally, the culture ministry also announced that on Thursday 12 April there will be some restrictions to the areas accessible to visitors at the Sounio archaeological site and the Temple of Poseidon due to filming for the BBC mini-series “The Little Drummer Girl” from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
