The leader of Greece’s main opposition party has hit out at the government after his wife’s business premises were the target of a bomb attack in the early hours of Monday.
Leader of the New Democracy party, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, tweeted that his wife had been the victim of “merciless targeting” by the prime minister’s office.
However, he added the “real target is me.”
Police are investigating the explosion which hit Mareva Mitsotakis’ offices in central Athens’ Psyri district.
The blast occurred at 3:40 a.m. local time (0140GMT). There were no injuries.
In a press release, the PM’s office condemned the attack.
