An exhibition of photos taken on Greece’s Mount Athos by Polish photographer Tomasz Mociski has caught the eye of visitors at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

The exhibition of the reclusive monastic community which lives on the northern Greek peninsula impressed visitors and earned positive feedback.

Greek Ambassador Stelios Perrakis told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency the exhibition had multiple purposes, focusing on the spiritual dimension as a counterpoint to a situation that has recently prevailed in the Council of Europe, in which the values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law are in constant decline.
