Greek Hotel Staff Furious Over Workplace Fines

Staff at a new resort on the Greek island of Kos are outraged after reports emerged that they would have to pay a series of fines, if guests complained about the service.
Staff could also face random body searches, it is alleged.
A report from the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (AMNA) said unions were furious that hotel workers and servers on the popular Aegean island could have to sign contracts, which include a 30 ($37) fine if customers complain about room cleanliness.
Lateness would also be punished by a €10 fine.
It is believed the union has filed a complaint with Greece’s Labor Ministry.
