Ten million euros will be distributed on Christmas Eve to 10,000 lucky taxpayers through a lottery the finance ministry is basing on purchases or payments made by taxpayers electronically or through cards.
The lottery covers receipts from January to November 2017, and 10,000 winners will each receive 1,000 euros.
The first lottery, for October receipts, was held on November 30, with another 1,000 taxpayers winning 1,000 euros each.
The results of the lottery will be posted on “www.aade.gr” website. The winners of the lottery for January 2017 will be posted at 14:00, the Finance Ministry announced on Sunday.
The next lottery on the December’s receipts will be held at the end of January 2018.
