Clashes Between Protesters and Greek Police in Home Auction Court

Rioting between -mainly- left wing protesters and the police outside the premises where foreclosure home auctions are taking place, has become commonplace in Athens lately.
This time the Athens Court of Justice became the battleground for the movement against home auctions by banks, when members of left-wing organisations were protesting against the latest wave of foreclosure auctions.
The protesters attempted to break the police protection line in front of the court, and hostilities were exchanged. Police forces were able to push the protesters away after extended clashes. No victims were reported.
Earlier today, the Greek parliament passed a bill stating that, anyone causing harm to or assaulting notaries while they are conducting a home auction, will be prosecuted immediately.
