Heavy rainfalls in the Rodopi prefecture on Sunday have caused serious problems as some areas have been flooded.
So far fire departments across the region have pumped water from 32 homes and rescued 17 people whose homes had been flooded.
According to Chronos local news website, the road of Komotini to Maroneia has been closed in some places, as it is almost inaccessible due to large volumes of water.
At Kosmio, large land areas have turned to lakes. In Amarantha, several homes have been flooded, while access to the village is impossible as water has closed the main road.
Serious damages in farmlands and livestock farms have been reported.
