Actions Agreed at Regional Conferences will be Implemented, PM Tsipras Promises W. Attica Mayors

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Sunday emphasised the importance of implementing the things agreed on at the regional conferences on development taking place throughout the country. In a brief speech at a meeting with Attica governor Rena Dourou, the mayors of West Attica and the ministers attending the 8th Regional Conference on the Reconstruction of Production in Mandra, the prime minister spoke about what he envisioned for the future.
The prime minister referred to the tragic floods in West Attica, a disaster that forced the government to change the planned order of the conferences.
Tsipras pointed to the importance of synthesising the different opinions heard and noted issues that were being accelerated, such as flood-protection works and town planning in general. He also promised mayors that the process will not end at the roundtable discussions but that the government will work with local authorities and other actors to implement the things agreed upon.
Tsipras later delivered an address at the Elefsina indoor stadium.
