Europa League: AEK Shares Another Goalless Draw with Milan (video)

AEK took another step towards claiming the second place in its Europa League group after the clash against Italian giants AC Milan ended in a goalless draw in Athens.
It was a repeat of the game in San Siro a few weeks ago when the two teams also shared the points in a goalless game.
The Athens club now needs to win the next game at home against bottom-placed Rjieka of Croatia to all but guarantee progress to the next round of the competition.
The game, played in front of 45,000 spectators at the Olympic Stadium of Athens was not a pretty spectacle. In a game of few chances, the two teams seemed ready to settle for the draw.
In its first game without injured captain Petros Mantalos AEK created more chances than the Italians.
It took Milan 44 minutes to muster their first shot on goal of the game, but it was hardly worth the wait as Bonucci fired a wayward effort high and wide.
In the second half, Milan had the best chance of the game when a Riccardo Montolivo shot hit the upright on the 57th minute.
A few hours before the game, fans of the two clubs fought each other and rioted in an Athens railway train station.
Standings after 4 games:
1 AC Milan 8
2 AEK  6
3 Austria Vienna 4
4 Rijeka 3
