Attica Wine and Food Experience is Launched

Unity is an absolute necessity in Greece in times of crisis, especially when there is a shared interest and Attica-Wine And Food Experience, has proven just that.
After many years of trying, wine makers and gastronomy professionals have finally formed this organisation, which now enables them to promote wines from Attica.
Wine producers; tourism professionals; caterers; and wine and gastronomy lovers, have all joined forces in this project, hoping that the wine loving community will be pleasantly surprised by the new flavours of Retsina and Savvatiano.

Its creative founders are Mr. Vassilios Allagiannis of “Allagiannis Winery” in Markopoulo; Mr. George Vassiliou from Vassiliou Estate based in Koropi; Mr. Andreas Gikas of “Gikas Winery” in Spata; Mr. Sotirios Ginis from “Aoton Domaine”, based in Peania; Mr. Vassilios Kaniaris from “Chateau Kaniaris” at Megara; Mr. Stavros Koulocheris from “Evinos Domaine” in Spata; Mr. Konstantinos Lazaridis from “Oenotria Land”, based in Kapandriti; Ms. Maria Maltezou from “Strofilia” in Anavyssos; Mr. Vassilios Nikolou from Nikolou Winery, based in Koropi; Mr. Vassilios Panagiotou from Markopoulo; Mr. Serpieris from “Chateau Serpieris” based in Athens, and Ms. Assimina Fragou of “Fragou Domaine”, based in Spata.

Attica-Wine And Food Experience aims to contribute to a better understanding of the Attica’s vineyards, to maintain traditional wine-making techniques and to help in the promotion of modern recipes.
The standardization and marketing of these products for export to world markets, is also a major priority.
