The prestigious Paley Center for Media will soon hold a special event called “A Gala Celebrating Women in Television”, during which the center will bestow a special honor on actress and comedienne Betty White.
Betty White will not be the only Hollywood celebrity on hand, as others presenters and participants of the evening will include Debra Messing, Kristin Chenoweth, Wanda Sykes, Rita Moreno, and Allison Janney.
The event is dedicated to honoring and showcasing the contributions of women to entertainment and the media, in everything ranging from drama to news and sports.
In a statement she recently released, Betty White said, “I am thrilled to be honored by the Paley Center. To be acknowledged for working in a business I love for as long as I have is truly a privilege. I’m proud to share this evening with these amazing and talented women”.
The Gala Celebrating Women in Television will take place on October 12 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
