The Free Democratic Party of Germany (FDP) is willing to consent to financial assistance programmes for Greece provided the International Monetary Fund (IMF) participates, making it clear that the debt is sustainable, FDP party leader Christian Lindner said on Monday.
Speaking during a press conference, Lindner pointed out that this had been Germany’s policy up until the summer of 2015 and that the FDP’s recommendation was a return”to the old policy, which was focused on stability.”
