The New York Stage and Film organization have announced their two guests of honor for this year’s Winter Gala: actress and producer Tina Fey and Audible, Inc founder Don Katz.
The announcement doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, Tina Fey has had a stellar year which includes her new show “Great News” getting picked up for a second season, the premiere week of the Broadway version of “Mean Girls” finally announced, and the continued critical acclaim for her Netflix series “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”.
Now, this honor from New York Stage and Film is an additional recognition of the producer/actress/comedienne’s hard work and talent. Artistic Director Johanna Pfaelzer stated, “to say we are thrilled by this year’s gala honorees is an absolute understatement. Tina is a leading voice in American comedy, from her film and television work.”
There will be plenty of celebrity guests on hand to provide entertainment in honor of Fey and Katz, and all proceeds will go to support artists around the country who are developing and producing original theater and film work.
The New York Stage and Film Winter Gala will be held on December 5 at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers.
