A live Broadway adaptation of the hit teen comedy “Mean Girls”, created by Tina Fey, has been in the works for a while now without any definite dates set, leaving fans waiting.
Well, it appears the wait is over! Not only has Tina Fey definitely stated that the Broadway run of “Mean Girls” will start in April of 2018, but the first cast photos of the “Plastics”, the infamous female clique the movie focuses on, have been released.
The production got experienced Broadway performers for the three leads, including Taylor Louderman as the group’s leader Regina George, Kate Rockwell as the vacuous Karen Smith, and Ashley Park as type-A Gretchen Wieners.
Tina Fey made a video of her “Mean Girls” on Broadway announcement and posted in on YouTube for fans to see. In the video, she states that previews of the musical will begin as early as March 12.
Exclusive photos of the cast are also available at Entertainment Weekly. Check out the video above and let us know if you’re excited for the chance to see “Mean Girls” on stage!
