Yannis Philippakis Confirms Foals Are Working on Fifth Album

After months of rumors and speculation, English indie rock band Foals’ frontman Yannis Philippakis confirmed on social media that the Foals have begun working on their fifth album.

He captioned his most recent Instagram post of him holding two bags of flowers, “Off to write the next record brb”.

The band hasn’t released an album since 2015, when they came out with “What Went Down”. Since then, Philippakis and the rest of the band have been on a busy touring schedule around the world to promote their latest songs.

However, with this news it seems the Foals will be back in action soon, and will hopefully have an album out in 2018.

Philippakis uploaded the photo with news of the fifth album the day after the group’s final concert of the summer in Portugal. In addition to Philippakis, the group features Jack Bevan on drums, Edwin Congreave on keyboard, Walter Servers on bass, and Jimmy Smith on guitar.
