We are seeking a fair solution to the Cyprus issue, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Friday in a meeting with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini.
Mogherini expressed her gratitude for Greece’s role in the negotiations and particularly the role of the prime minister.
“I am very grateful for Greece’s role in the negotiations, your personal role — even remotely — in Crans Montana was very important,” she said. “The EU remains fully committed to finding a viable positive solution to the Cyprus problem. It is a priority for me personally and for the whole Union,” she added.
