Anastasiades on Latest Round of Talks: Eide 'Living in an Illusion that Almost Everything was Solved'

On Sunday during an interview with To Vima, Greek-Cypriot President, Nicos Anastasiades said that he has no doubts that the Greek Cypriot side had the correct strategy during the latest round of the Cyprus Talks in Crans-Montana.
He also mentioned that he felt the Turkish Cypriot side was unwilling to take the necessary steps needed to find a resolution during an interview with Kathimerini.
President Anastasiades added that UN Special Adviser Espen Barth Eide was “living in an illusion that almost everything was solved”, even if he meant well and was acting in good faith and that Eide did not clearly convey statements from Ankara. “He should have conveyed exactly the messages he was receiving, especially from Ankara,” he said.
