Eurostat: Greece at 77% of EU's Actual Individual Consumption Per Capita Index


Greece is at 77 percent of the average European Union Actual Individual Consumption per capita index for 2016, Eurostat announced on Tuesday.
The index measures the actual economic level of the living standards of European households. It is the most recent analysis of purchasing power parities and related economic indicators (gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, level of actual individual consumption (AIC) per capita, countries’ price level indices in the EU.
Ten of the 28 EU member states were above the union average, with Luxembourg being at the top at 32 percent above the average. It is followed by Ireland, Switzerland and Norway. Bulgaria was in last place with only 53 percent of the EU average.
Greece is above Hungary, Latvia, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.
