Greek Ministry of Religious Affairs Allocates Space in Athens Stadiums for Ramadan Celebration


Muslims in Greece’s capitals will be able to come together for the Eid al-Fitr celebration as the Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs said on Thursday, that it is allocating space at two stadiums in Athens, according to ekathimerini reports.
The two stadiums that will be hosting the celebration marking the end of Ramadan are the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF) on Athens’s southern coast and the Olympic Stadium (OAKA) in the northern suburb of Maroussi.
It is requested that groups organizing prayer meetings for Muslims, apply to use the provided spaces by June 9 at both stadiums administrative service, the report continues.
Groups in other parts of the country that have not yet reserved a space are encouraged to contact their local municipality to make arrangements for the upcoming celebration.
